Rogel Community Advisory Board

Mission Statement

The mission of the Rogel Community Advisory Board (RCAB) is to work as a collaborative body to assist the Rogel Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) team in describing and addressing the cancer burden in Michigan and advance health equity. This body through active listening, collective thought, dedication, and honesty will help advance the mission of the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center to reduce cancer burden and improve cancer outcomes through research, innovation, and transdisciplinary collaboration.

Community Assessment and Programming (CAP)

The Community Assessment and Programming Committee are responsible for ensuring the Rogel COE’s programming are aligned with the diverse needs of Michigan

Policy and Advocacy Committee (PAC)

The Policy and Advocacy Committee are responsible for informing Rogel Community Outreach and Engagement on current and emerging policies that directly or indirectly impact the mission of Rogel Community Outreach and Engagement.

The Research and Practice Committee are responsible for helping facilitate bi-directional engagement between researchers at the University of Michigan and Community Outreach and Engagement.

Patient Treatment and Survivorship (PTS)

The Patient Treatment and Survivorship Committee are responsible for reviewing and providing critical feedback on Community Outreach and Engagement materials and programming designed for survivors and patients currently undergoing treatment. The committee is encourage to provide ideas regarding programming and materials.
