Advanced Melanoma
At the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, there is hope, innovation and support available for those with advanced melanoma.
If your cancer has spread to the lymph nodes or beyond to other internal organs, our medical oncologists will discuss the use of additional treatments including:
- chemotherapy
- radiation therapy
- surgery
- treatment protocols available through clinical trial
At U-M, we are committed to offering the latest in treatments and care for melanoma and are at the forefront of disease research, including offering novel treatment protocols such as gene therapy, adoptive immunotherapy, and combination chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
The medical team at our Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic handles a high volume of cases, including the most advanced cases, and offers vast expertise and experience to all our patients. If you need multispecialty care, our team of specialists, including dermatologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists and many other specialists, will work together to provide a comprehensive management plan, no matter the stage of your illness.
