Metastatic Melanoma Clinic

Providing team-based treatment and support to all patients. Call us at 734-647-8902

The Metastatic Melanoma Clinic is committed to offering the latest in treatments and care for melanoma and is at the forefront of disease research, including offering novel treatment protocols such as gene targeted therapy and combination chemotherapy and immunotherapy. We also offer hyperthermic isolated limb infusion and limb perfusion for advanced melanoma.

Our medical team handles a high volume of cases, including the most advanced cases, and offers vast expertise and experience to all our patients.

If you need multispecialty care, our team of specialists, including dermatologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists and many other specialists, will work together to provide a comprehensive management plan, no matter the stage of your illness.

Genetics
Research has revealed a number of different genes, which often run in families, increase the chances for melanoma to occur. Some of these genes are very rare, but for those that have them, the chances for developing melanoma are high. For this reason, the Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic often works closely with the Cancer Genetics Clinic. This doesn't happen for all of our patients, only those with these indications.

Support
Since our program is part of the U-M Rogel Cancer Center, our patients have access to Patient Support Services. To fully understand what this means, please take time to visit the area. We outline the services available to our patients at every point in their care.

Children and young adults diagnosed with melanoma are treated in the University of Michigan Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic, located in the U-M Rogel Cancer Center. Our multidisciplinary team includes pediatric surgeons, pediatric oncologists and other melanoma physicians, who provide expert care to our pediatric patients with melanoma.
