Brain and spinal tumors are treated by the Neuro-oncology Program at the Rogel Cancer Center and C.S. Mott’s Children’s Hospital.

Our program specializes in treating malignant or cancerous tumors such as glioblastomas, as well as non-malignant tumors of the brain for both adults and children. We also specialize in cancers that have directly or indirectly affected the nervous system. Our nationally recognized team uses advanced neurosurgical and radiation approaches, chemotherapy, anti-angiogenic therapy and evidence-based therapies, including clinical trials.

The U-M Neuro-oncology Program is home to the largest number of neuro-oncology specialists in Michigan. Our multidisciplinary team includes more than 30 physicians and scientists with expertise in brain, spinal cord, and ocular tumors, including:

  • Neuro-oncologists
  • Neurosurgeons
  • Radiation oncologists
  • Neuroradiologists
  • Neuro-ophthalmologists
  • Neuropathologists
