The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center is one of the few healthcare institutions in the country to offer a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of experts focused on treating only tumors of the spine. This includes tumors that originate in the spine, and cancers that have spread or metastasized to the spine.

Our spine oncology clinic brings together the leadership expertise of leaders in the field of spine oncology, which includes skilled radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, physicists, radiologists and rehabilitation experts who developed and implemented a unique multidisciplinary clinical approach to managing spinal cancer. Their approach is the result of reviewing all existing studies and bringing together experts from across the world to provide the latest treatment approaches. That expertise is put to use every day for the expert treatment of patients like you or your family members.

The Rogel Cancer Center’s spine oncology clinic works with patients and their treating oncologists to develop the most personalized care plan based on each patient’s unique diagnosis and personal health goals. We are focused on advanced treatments, including targeted radiation therapies and minimally invasive surgeries that minimize side effects and maximize quality of life and tumor control.

There is hope, innovation and support available for patients with spinal tumors here at the U-M Rogel Cancer Center.
