MENURogel’s thyroid cancer research team wins Endocrine Care Innovation Award

The Thyroid and Thyroid Cancer Research team, or ThyCARE, at the Rogel Cancer Center received the inaugural Endocrine Care Innovation Award from the American Association of Endocrinology.
The award, which will be presented at the association’s annual meeting in May, recognizes an outstanding body of research over the past five years.
ThyCARE is led by Megan Haymart, M.D., and includes Rogel members Maria Papaleontiou, Debbie Chen, Mousumi Banerjee, Sarah Hawley, Lauren Wallner, Archana Radhakrishnan, Susan Pitt, Frank Worden, David Hughes and Beth Hesseltine. The teams’ focus is addressing thyroid health and improving the care of patients across the thyroid cancer continuum. Their work includes health services research and clinical trials.
