Hemophilia and Coagulation Disorders Clinic

The Hemophilia and Coagulation Disorders Clinic treats non-cancerous blood disorders, such as hemophilia, factor V deficiency, hematopoietic malignancies, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) / Osler’s-Weber-Rendu Disease, Lupus, platelet function defects, thrombophilia, venous thrombosis and Von Willebrand’s Disease.

The reason these conditions are treated in the cancer center is because some of these blood disorders are pre-malignant in nature. In fact, some blood disorders, even though not cancerous, can be treated with chemotherapy drugs. Offer enzyme therapies (an alternate form of cancer treatment), and phase 1 therapies for some blood disorders.
