Rogel Cancer Center funds 4 Michigan community groups to provide cancer screening, prevention programs

The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center has awarded four Michigan community organizations a total of $200,000 in grants for projects designed to improve cancer screening and tobacco cessation among populations experiencing cancer disparities. The grants will enable each organization to implement evidence-based interventions within the community they serve.

University of Michigan Health offers new state-of-the-art mobile mammography unit for breast cancer screening

Starting this month, the University of Michigan Health Ypsilanti Health Center will be offering onsite mammography screening services through a new mobile mammography unit. This addition to the organization’s ambulatory care services will increase access to cancer care and provide screening opportunities for patients near their homes.
